Mike-scott

About Me

Mike Scott has a 40 year history of winning cases – on summary judgment, at trial, in arbitration and on appeal. He also knows when settlement should be considered and how to negotiate to a favorable resolution.

He was a partner with a top 50 global law firm for over 30 years, including 10 years on its Executive Committee and a stint as the firm’s General Counsel. Early in his career, he was a Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.

Mike has represented many of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies in product liability and commercial cases. And he’s handled a wide variety of other civil litigation, as plaintiff and defendant, for individuals and businesses.

Prior to law school, Mike worked for KPMG as an auditor and he worked his way through law school by teaching Accounting at the Wharton School.

In addition to his work for paying clients, Mike has a strong record of pro bono representation, including most recently taking the lead in seeking to have the federal courts declare the Mississippi state flag -- with its incorporation of the Confederate flag -- to be an unconstitutional endorsement of white supremacy.
